women's hockey

Hockey has long been the pride of Canadian Men. In the Winter Olympics of 2010 however, that changed. The Canadian Women's hockey team won gold. Not only did they win gold, but they captivated the hearts of the viewers as well. This all rooted from the inward motivation most of the women possessed. Botterill, one of the women who was part of the team said, "Believe in yourself, because something like this is possible.” It was an exciting game to watch with such a good back story leading up to it. Women's Hockey is still a young sport but I think because of the Winter Olympics of 2010, it has picked up tremendously and quite quickly.
